Education

In the education sector, the focus is on people as well as quality, efficiency and safety. Good governance is a must where public funds are spent. Education establishments have a mutual – give and take – obligation in this respect.

Increasing impact of market forces, greater focus on quality, stricter supervision, more and more European regulations: the ongoing commercialisation of the various education branches is leading to procedures and contracts playing an ever more significant role in education. Parents and pupils are entitled to full transparency. Access to education, exams and evaluations, study certificates and diplomas, disciplinary measures and appeals procedures are but a few examples of crucial importance.

On behalf of pupils and parents, our offices will manage dossiers concerning study progress decisions in higher education and disciplinary dossiers affecting pupils in secondary education.

We also provide support to school boards in the event of disciplinary procedures affecting teaching and administrative staff and when awarding and implementing public contracts for specific operations, deliveries and services, in cases where schools are subject to these regulations.
